Naturally occurring phospholipids found in egg yolks, soybeans, and sunflower seeds. One of the most widely used and well-studied food additives. Generally considered safe. Soy-derived lecithin may not be suitable for people with severe soy allergies, though most allergenic proteins are removed during processing.
