Fast Yellow AB (E105): What It Is and Is It Safe?
Hazardous
Colour · Azo dye
Fast Yellow AB is a synthetic sulphonated aminoazobenzene (azo) dye formerly used as a yellow food colour. It is prohibited as a food additive in the EU and the United States. Like other azo dyes it can provoke intolerance reactions in sensitive people, and its aromatic-amine structure underlies its historical removal from food use.
