The mono-acidic calcium salt of phosphoric acid (Ca(H₂PO₄)₂). The most acidic form of calcium phosphate. Commonly used as the acid component in baking powder and as a fast-acting leavening agent. Also provides a useful source of dietary calcium. Considered safe by EFSA and FDA with a well-established history of use.
